Safe Start Return to Play

 Objective:

Whatcom Baseball Club is committed to creating a safe and quality experience for all our players and families. The purpose of this document is to establish and educate all involved on what our plan and methodology will be as we return to baseball activities.  All policies and procedures are established based on CDC, State, City, School and Non-school youth team sports guidelines.

Here is Whatcom Baseball Club’s phase 3 of our return to play plan. Our goal is to get all our players back on the field as safely and quickly as possible.

Players:

·       Masks are required to be worn for players during games, practices and/or evaluations.

·       Masks can be pulled down when actively competing only.

·       Masks must be pulled back up before re-entering the dugout or before having a team meeting.

·       Individual responsible to supply their own water bottle.

·       Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes available for use before, during and after the game or practice.

·       Always maintain 6 ft. social distance. Exception is the dugouts due to limited spacing, but mask on is required while in the dugout.

·       Do not come to any team event if the participant has a temperature above 100.3 F. Or if they have chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, new loss of smell or taste, diarrhea, vomiting or fever…

Coaches and Team Personal:

·       Masks are required to be worn at all fields and stadiums.

·       Always maintain 6 ft. social distance. Exception is the dugouts due to limited spacing, but mask on is required while in the dugout.

Spectators:

·       Masks are required to be worn at all fields and stadiums.

·       Distancing requirements of 6 ft. between groups (Max. of 8 people) per 100 square ft.

·       Do not come to any team event if the participant has a temperature above 100.3 F. Or if they have chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, new loss of smell or taste, diarrhea, vomiting or fever…
